Transit Survey
– Preliminary Results


In November, Economic Development, in conjunction with Tignish Initiatives, developed and released a Transit Survey. The objectives of the survey included the level of interest in transit alternatives for employees working in Summerside. Results are being tabulated, but an early review presents the following:

  • 75% of the respondents live outside Summerside
  • 86% work full-time
  • 90% said they would consider taking a bus to work
  • 34% currently use some other method of transportation besides their own car at least once a week
